WHAT WE DO
INDUSTRIAL SHRINK WRAP SERVICES IN NEW YORK

Industrial shrink wrapping covers equipment in a fitted film that is heat-shrunk until it is drum-tight. The wrap closes on six sides, so it does not flap, pool water or leave open edges for wind to work on.
Our mobile shrink wrap services in New York bring the work to you. Crews wrap on site, so equipment does not travel to a shop first. That suits a rooftop unit on a laydown pad, a chiller on a dock or machinery parked at a job site.
01
ASSESS
We review the equipment, its footprint, site access and how long it will sit.
03
INSPECT
We check seams, seals and openings before we leave.
02
WRAP
The crew builds a fitted, six-sided cover and shrinks it tight.
04
REMOVE
When the equipment is ready to run or ship, we take the wrap off cleanly and clear it.
Industrial equipment shrink wrapping in New York can be a short cover for a delay or a season-long cover for winter staging. We match the plan to the equipment, the site and the weather. See what we protect, or read about machinery shrink wrapping.
CAPABILITIES
WHAT WE PROTECT IN NEW YORK
HEAVY MACHINERY SHRINK WRAP IN NEW YORK
Construction and job-site equipment sits through weather and project delays. A drum-tight wrap covers bearings, controls and electronics, and keeps dust, rain and snow out of parts that are costly to replace.
SAND AND SALT STORAGE PROTECTION
Sand and salt storage takes wind, snowmelt and moisture all winter. A fitted wrap keeps what you cover dry and contained. Ask how wrap fits your site.
FREIGHT SHRINK WRAPPING IN NEW YORK
Freight moving by road, port or rail faces spray, salt and handling. Wrap seals the load for freight transportation and keeps it clean through receiving, so it arrives ready to use.
BOAT SHRINK WRAP IN NEW YORK
Boats stored through a New York winter need a tight cover against snow, ice and wind. A fitted wrap sheds snow and keeps moisture out until launch day.

HVAC EQUIPMENT SHRINK WRAP IN NEW YORK
Rooftop units, air handlers and chillers wait on docks and pads before install. A fitted wrap keeps snow, salt, dust and moisture off coils, fans and controls until the crew is ready to set them.

WEATHER AND SITE RISKS
NEW YORK WEATHER AND SITE RISKS
Weather in New York changes with the season and with the region. Equipment stored outdoors meets all of it.
WINTER
Lake-effect snow, ice, road salt
WHAT IT DOES
Snow loads units, then melts into seams. Ice forms in fins, hinges and panels. Salt spray corrodes metal and electronics.
HOW WRAP HELPS
Drum-tight wrap sheds snow, keeps meltwater out and holds salt off surfaces.
SPRING
Freeze-thaw, rain, mud
WHAT IT DOES
Water freezes and thaws inside coils, bearings and panels. Splash carries grit onto fans and controls.
HOW WRAP HELPS
Sealed film keeps meltwater and splash out, so moisture does not cycle inside.
SUMMER
UV, heat, dust, storms
WHAT IT DOES
UV ages exposed surfaces. Jobsite dust clogs fans and coils. Storms drive rain sideways.
HOW WRAP HELPS
Wrap blocks dust and rain and cuts direct sun on the equipment.
FALL
Wind, rain, leaf debris, first freeze
WHAT IT DOES
Wind lifts loose covers. Leaves collect on units. Birds and rodents look for shelter.
HOW WRAP HELPS
Fitted wrap leaves no loose edge and no way in for animals.
WESTERN AND CENTRAL NEW YORK
Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Clay sit in the lake-effect snow belts. Snow returns often and road salt is constant.
CAPITAL REGION
Albany sits inland, where cold snaps and freeze-thaw swings stress equipment through the shoulder seasons.
LONG ISLAND AND THE COAST
Wind, humidity and salt-laden air work on equipment all year.
PORTS AND MANUFACTURING SITES
Salt, spray and traffic dust reach laydown areas in every season.
Buffalo’s industrial sites and cooling towers meet the lake-effect winter head on. See our cooling tower shrink wrap and road salt and sand storage options.
REAL DAMAGE
DIRT, DEBRIS, RODENTS AND EQUIPMENT DAMAGE
On an outdoor site, equipment also faces what blows in, drips down and moves in.
Dirt and dust. Fine grit clogs coils and fans and settles in control panels.
Debris. Leaves, grit and jobsite debris block airflow and scratch finishes.
Moisture. Rain, snowmelt and condensation reach bearings, controls and electronics.
UV. Sun fades and ages exposed surfaces and seals.
Rodents and birds. They nest in air handlers and enclosures, chew wiring and leave droppings that corrode metal.
Equipment damage. Coils corrode. Fans pull grit. Controls short. Bearings rust and seize. Electronics fail.
DAMAGE TYPE

EQUIPMENT JOURNEY
PROTECTING EQUIPMENT THROUGH ITS WHOLE JOURNEY
Equipment is exposed from the factory floor to the installed system. Each step has its own risk and its own wrap approach. OEM equipment protection in New York is covered on our OEM & Factory Shrink Wrap Programs page.
01
MANUFACTURE
Risk: dust and handling at factory staging.
Wrap: protection applied before prefabricated assemblies and chillers leave the line.
02
PROTECT
Risk: weather and damage while units wait for pickup or the next leg.
Wrap: a fitted, six-sided cover shrunk drum-tight.
03
TRANSPORT
Risk: road spray, salt and grit during freight transportation.
Wrap: fitted to the load and secured for highway travel.
04
STAGE
Risk: snow, ice and debris at receiving, construction staging and jobsite laydown.
Wrap: a cover that holds through the season.
05
INSTALL
Risk: an installation delay leaves switchgear and electrical enclosures outdoors longer than planned.
Wrap: stays on until the crew is ready, then comes off clean.
LONG-TERM STORAGE
Equipment staged outdoors for a season or longer needs a wrap that shrugs off snow load, UV and repeated freeze–thaw without being re-tied. That is long-term equipment storage in New York: one install, inspected, left in place until install day. Bulk material gets the same treatment on the sand and salt storage page.
OVER-THE-ROAD
Transit is a different problem: the load moves at highway speed into wind, spray and road salt, so the wrap has to stay drum-tight in motion and come off clean at the other end. That is the job of freight shrink wrapping.
Manufacturers and OEM teams can see how OEM equipment protection in New York works on the OEM & Factory Shrink Wrap Programs page. For loads on the road, see freight transportation wrapping. For jobs on site, see construction staging.

CITIES WE SERVE
CITIES WE SERVE IN NEW YORK
BUFFALO, NY
Industrial plants and cooling towers around Buffalo face lake effect snow and road salt on the same site the exact combination a drum-tight wrap is built for.
ROCHESTER, NY
Manufacturers and HVAC contractors in Rochester use machinery shrink wrapping between delivery, staging and install.
ALBANY, NY
The Capital Region's fab construction and manufacturing base needs equipment protection through hard freeze–thaw seasons and staging delays.
LONG ISLAND, NY
Ports, marinas and commercial rooftops downstate — freight shrink wrapping and boat covers where coastal salt air is the main enemy.
PROOF
NEW YORK CASE STUDIES
These are real Shrink Mobile projects from our case study library. They were completed in Texas and California, not New York, and they show the same moisture, freight and construction-delay exposure that New York sites face.

SWITCHGEAR AND GENERATOR PROTECTION, DATA CENTER BUILD
01
PROBLEM
A data center build slipped its schedule, and switchgear, generators, and chillers sat on open laydown yards for several weeks. Afternoon thunderstorms, humid air, and construction dust threatened enclosures, controls, and coils before commissioning.
SOLUTION
Shrink Mobile crews wrapped each piece on site, drum-tight on all sides, with vents for moisture control and access panels for inspection. Work ran in phases around the construction crews, so no one had to move equipment.
RESULT
-
Equipment stayed clean and dry through the delay
-
Commissioning started without cleanup or rework
-
Wrap came off unit by unit as installation reached each pad

EXPORT SKID AND CONTAINER WRAP, PORT STAGING YARD
02
PROBLEM
Process skids and containerized equipment waited at a staging yard near the port before overseas shipment. Humid air, rain, and repeated crane and forklift handling put finishes, fittings, and controls at risk before the cargo reached the vessel.
SOLUTION
Crews applied reinforced, sealed shrink wrap before loading, with extra reinforcement at lift points and corners. The wrap was built to stay intact through port staging, loading, and transit, with marked access points for inspection.
RESULT
-
Cargo stayed dry and clean through port staging
-
Wrap stayed intact through each handoff
-
Equipment reached the vessel ready to ship
